Hank Williams

Considered a neighborhood nuisance, Senior pup Hank Williams was barely surviving on his own. Suffering from respiratory and skin infections and Heartworm disease, his body was on the verge of giving out. The occasional scraps tossed his way weren’t enough to sustain him. Time was running out. ⁠

However, after Hank entered the care of Tift Animal Rescue, he received some much-needed medical care and was given a new lease on life. Thanks to the generous support of the CUDDLY community and the devotion of his rescuers, Hank Williams got his second chance.⁠

Because of the CUDDLY community, Hank Williams isn’t just healthy, he’s home. He was adopted by a woman who had been following his story on CUDDLY. She drove 16 hours just to meet him and decided that day that he would never be alone again. Hank Williams is now living out his golden years in a lakefront home, surrounded by love.⁠

Pork Chop (Bugsy)

Pork Chop the Bulldog was found on the streets of Riverside, CA, his entire face covered in burned skin. We took him in and rushed him to the vet, where it was confirmed that he had suffered from some kind of thermal or chemical burn–-the tissue was so badly damaged that it was impossible for the vet to be certain. One thing we did know for sure was that this was no accident.

It took months for this sweet boy to recover, but while in the care of Underdog Heroes rescue, Pork Chop captured the hearts of millions across the internet. The incredible outpouring of support from the CUDDLY community allowed rescuers to provide this sweet boy with the care he needed to heal.

After extensive treatment, this little dog got the most rock and roll happily ever after imaginable. Pork Chop, now called Bugsy, was adopted by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne! He might now be the “Pup of Darkness,” but we think Bugsy has a bright future ahead of him.

Bernadette

Bernadette was just four months old when a terrifying fire broke out in the outdoor encampment where she was living. Trapped in the blaze, this little kitten screamed for help, but no one heard her over the chaos. Once the flames were extinguished, first responders found Bernadette gasping for air, her tiny body covered in excruciating burns.

When Dallas Pets Alive received the call about this little cat in distress, they did not hesitate. They knew they could depend on the support of the CUDDLY community to get this little cat the life-saving care she needed, and they were right. Bernadette was rushed to the hospital, where she spent the next several days receiving oxygen support and wound treatment.

After being discharged, Bernadette’s recovery was rocky, but rescuers were by her side every step of the way. Eventually, Bernadette was strong enough to be spayed and vaccinated, and it wasn’t much longer before she was adopted! This little girl now has a life filled with love and joy, and we truly couldn’t ask for anything more.

Tuna

In one of the worst neglect cases we have ever seen, Goldendoodle Tuna was abandoned at a local shelter by his owner in a state of utter deterioration. Pounds of matted fur hid his skeletal frame, so emaciated it was a miracle he could even stand. He howled after his owner, desperate not to be left behind. His loyalty to his abuser was heartbreaking.

Tuna was quickly taken in by Hounds in Pounds, Inc. and was rushed to the vet for emergency care. He had endured such prolonged starvation and was suffering from multiple pressure wounds. It would take a long time to nurse him back to health, but no one was giving up on him.

Thanks to donations from the CUDDLY community, Tuna received the months of medical care he needed to fully recuperate. This sweet boy has now found happiness in a new forever home. No longer the victim of abuse, Tuna is living the life every dog deserves—one filled with comfort, joy, and endless affection.
